Why Breathe?

Breath is Life...

This is not just a metaphor, but literally true.

Human beings cannot go more than a few minutes without breathing and remain alive. Our breath is so close to us that we take it for granted and miss the full enlivening potential of the breath. There is more to the breath than merely keeping our cells alive.

The breath is a doorway to greater well-being in body, mind and spirit.

Breathwork is a highly personal, experiential process that uses specific breathing techniques to clear out physical, mental and emotional blocks or stresses. It taps into the body’s innate capacity to move toward greater health and vitality.

When you cut your finger, your body knows how to heal the wound even though your thinking mind doesn’t know how all this occurs. Our thinking minds may not know how other areas of our well-being have been “cut” or compromised, but the body knows.

To heal, all we need is to be willing to step through the doorway.
